VOTING PERIOD: JANUARY 18 – FEBRUARY 7, 2012
RULES & VOTING DEFINITION
By participating and/or voting in Vote 4 The Best, you agree to be bound by these rules and all final decisions of the judges. Vote 4 The Best is administered by a neutral third party, Web Services LLC, on behalf of WDIV / ClickOnDetroit.com.
Individuals may vote in the 2012 Winter Vote 4 The Best contest at www.ClickOnDetroit.com/4thebest beginning at 12:00:00am EST on January 18, 2012 and ending at 11:59:59pm EST on February 7, 2012.
DAILY VOTING FREQUENCY
Individuals may cast up to one (1) vote in each business category during each day of the open voting period. Any one user may cast up to twenty-two (22) votes in each business category, either for the same or different businesses, assuming such votes are placed every day during the contest.
VOTING MECHANISMS
Votes are to be cast by individuals only with unique email addresses, Facebook, or Twitter account credentials. Automated or multiple voting mechanisms are strictly prohibited. Any votes suspected by the judges to be fraudulent may be disqualified, in the judges’ sole discretion, and could affect the final standings prior to announcement. WDIV ClickOnDetroit reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this contest, in part or in its entirety, should virus, tampering, fraud, technical difficulties or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper administration of the contest, or for any reason whatsoever. WDIV ClickOnDetroit further reserves the right to modify these rules at any time during the voting period for any reason, in its sole discretion.
BUSINESS CATEGORY CHANGES
A business may choose one (1) primary category in which they may receive votes.
If a claimed, participating business changes its business category during the open voting period, it will cause the vote count for that business to be reset to zero. In order to request a business category change, businesses should:
- Claim ownership of the business via Authorization Code or ‘Claim this Business’ in the lower left of the place page
- After business claim acceptance, click ‘Biz Central’ and the name of the business to access category change screen
- If votes have already been placed in the primary category, click ‘Contact Us’ to submit a request for category change. THIS PROCESS WILL RESET VOTES TO ZERO.
COMPLAINTS & DISPUTES
In the event of a dispute, Web Services LLC shall request one (1) written statement from each complaining or refuting businesses. Web Services LLC shall use this communication and its website access logs to determine an outcome of a dispute, which shall be final. To initiate a complaint or dispute, click ‘Contact Us’ from the voting screens or email support@vote4thebest.us.
LIABILITIES
Participating businesses will be civil and not launch personal attacks against other competitors or businesses, or tamper with or hack into the system. Web Services LLC and WDIV are not responsible for content posted by third parties on any business page and businesses are solely responsible for the content posted by their representatives on any business page. Nevertheless, Web Services LLC and WDIV reserves the right to delete, move, or edit content in its sole discretion. This contest is also governed by ClickonDetroit’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
By participating in Vote 4 The Best, participants give full consent to WDIV to use his/her/its name, likeness, city and state in all forms of advertising, promotional, editorial, marketing and collateral materials without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
