Despite what the city says of its butt-ugly, new, 3,000,000 gallon water tower it is the Farmington Civic Theater that is the iconic focal point of Farmington/Farmington Hills and the jewel of its quaint downtown and surrounding historical district of residential homes. Movies are in modern digital resolution and Dolby 7.1 sound but, at just $4 a ticket, and with the cool neon marquee and entrance, its a retro-hip experience a giant cinemaplex just can't top!

I love this theater! It still feels like it was in old days....not too big. 2 screens. It has that small town feeling and the impression left on me is the staff seems to care more than the larger theater chains out there.

Enjoyed my 5th viewing of Jersey Boys while on personal business this week in Farmington Hills. Highly recommended!

Excellent friendly venue! The small theatre made me feel I was part of the movie. Glad I took in the show - my 5th time seeing Jersey Boys while on personal business in nearby Livonia. Came up from Cleveland to see the show!

This is the best movie theater around and has been there for many, many years! I miss it, as we don't live near it, any more.

Great theater! Good prices and if you couldn't get to a movie while it was out in other theaters, the Civic is probably playing it!
