Q: What does StageGeeks Do?
A: StageGeeks is a collaboration between The Macomb Civic Theatre, Sterling Civic Theatre, Warren Consolidated Schools and the all theater departments in Utica Community Schools. We share sets, resources, promotions and work together to ensure all of our productions occur seamlessly.
Q: What do you offer?
A: We offer an Intro to Theater Camp for K-6, We also offer 3 levels for our Theater Movement Workshop, 3 levels for our Acting Workshop and 3 levels for our Theatrical Chorus Workshop. We have included for 2016/2017 School Year our Theatrical Technical Lighting and Sound Workshop. Registration begins online July 25th 2016. Limited spaces available.
Q: I'm a new parent. How can I help?
A: First, this is not Dance Moms. There is only one click for parents and kids. If you show up you're in with the cool kids. This is an open environment that depends upon involvement, cooperation and interaction from everyone. Leave your day at the door, unless you had a great one. Our experience will be fun and educational for everyone. The Sawdust Brigade builds the set. Our Drama Mamas do the rest. Volunteering is encouraged and welcomed. Ask for Larry O'Grady @ 586.264.5571.
Q: What is Noah's Ark?
A: Noah's Ark is a program we offer to allow individuals with special needs the opportunity to be in any part of the show they enjoy. Some love to act, sing, dance while others enjoy meeting new people and working behind the scenes (like moving set between scenes and helping with props.) We offer complete inclusion. Our camp schedule allows us to work with them twice a week with the complete camp and teach them inclusion within an environment already accepting. We provide an experienced staff that has been working directly in this environment since our inception. It is always a lot of fun.
