About The As Is Band
After many years in the music business, playing with popular local and national acts, the As Is Band is the most entertaining party band in the Midwest. The As Is Band are a six-piece, horn-driven show-band based in the Metro Detroit area, Michigan USA. This top-notch band plays everything from Motown classics, Funk, Swing, Big-Band, Classic Rock, Country and Jazz. The As Is Band has been one of the more popular groups in the Detroit area. In addition to performing as a headliner, band members have backed up such artists as The Drifters, The Four Tops, Temptations, Diana Ross, J.J. Jackson, The OJays, Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton and with Richard Marx at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Members have performed at Carnegie Hall, the Montreaux Jazz Festivals in Detroit and Switzerland and Greenfield Village. All Six members handle the vocal arrangements.
